Bruno loved camping. The wind rustling through the forest leaves, the crunch of crisp grass under your feet, the high-pitched cackle of-
Bruno spun around and found himself watching an unknown creature.
“Who are you?” demanded Bruno, affronted by the interruption.
The creature didn’t answer and Bruno wondered if he should hide in his tent - a large robe thrown over a picnic table. Suddenly the creature lunged at Bruno with a loud shriek, alerting Mrs Schmidt. Bruno’s mother rushed outside just in time to watch the Erkling crumple to the ground, her husband’s collapsible cauldron swinging from her son’s hand.
