Title: Nighttime Longing
House: Ravenclaw
Author: Bloodanna (Ruby)
Word Count: 100
Challenge: Starve
Characters/Pairings: Harry, Peter, hints of one sided James/Peter.
Author's Notes: This is inspired by a saying I read, heard (thought?) one time: "The soul when tempted or corrupted will long for goodness, the same way a beaten child longs for love."

I crouch on his pillow watching him sleep; he looks peaceful, a slight smirk gracing his pink mouth.
When I look at him like this I can almost believe that the last 13 years didn't happen, that the eyes hidden behind sleeping lids and coal-dark lashes are a smoky-silver instead of the chartreuse of that mudblood who caused this whole thing.
That little tart stealing James from me, taking his love from my edacious heart was what made the darkness tempting.
It's almost feels like fate, that the child of her cruelty should be the one to starve my soul.
