Hogwarts, the first gift of her life, was the chance to get away from her sisters and mother, and meet people who were forgiving and accepting.
Ted was the second gift-the one which seemed the best she could ever have hoped for. He, indeed, was a “divine gift,” giving her a home after Hogwarts, and promised she would never have to return to her horrible family. He gave her the most beautiful thing anyone ever had: their daughter, a “beautiful maiden gift.”
All of her most precious gifts had freed her from her family. Andromeda, after all, meant “rescued.”
