Snape cursed her under his breath. Narcissa, he thought, you fool. You damned fool. What have you gotten me into? He sat forward in his chair and sank his head in his hands, sighing.
Maybe I've been here before
The thought of doing what he knew Draco couldn’t made him cringe a bit. He cleared his throat. He had done things far harder, far more atrocious than this.
There was a time you let me know
He just hoped with all hope that she would see what he would do for her.

He sat in his chair, gazing into the pensieve warily. He saw Minerva come into focus through the mist and gave her a small smile that he knew she couldn’t see.
Dumbledore rose to less than his normal height.
So, this was the end. And he couldn’t even tell her goodbye, or tell her he loved her one final time.
He knew what was waiting for him outside his office and walked towards his end.

Lupin balled himself up on his bed trying to retain any heat he had left. He was exhausted. He had only a night’s respite before he left the Order’s headquarters and returned to his hiding spot, amongst the werewolves.
He wished he hadn’t been so harsh with Tonks, so cruel. He had snapped at her, angrily, when she had suggested she run him a hot bath.
He was glad, too, in a way. This way, they were safe. One tear slipped down his cheek.
“I love you…”
