“So,” Professor McGonagall mused, merely glancing at the papers in her hand. “Top marks in every class; you truly could do anything you desired at this point, Miss Granger.”
“Well…” Hermione hesitated. “What I really want to do is go into Muggle relations. I think that it’s important that wizards learn to respect Muggles-after all, we have to share the world with them,” she said earnestly.
“Miss Granger, you are bound to graduate at the top of your class, and if you receive high enough NEWT scores, I believe you should look into becoming a Healer.”
Hermione grinned slowly.

Ron and Hermione pretended, around Harry, that they were fearless of the task that lay spread before them. While they stayed with the Dursleys, they knew Harry’s heart was already bound for Godric’s Hollow.
But they were desperately afraid, clinging to one another at night.
They supposed, under different circumstances, that their transition from friends to more would have been awkward. But there was no time for shame, for embarrassment. Clothes and inhibitions melted away. Their skin sighed when they fit themselves together, and slow moans rolled from their throats. Ron tilted his head, catching Hermione’s fears, swallowing her misery.
