Among the rubble lay objects that looked familiar… a plaque with the names of past Gryffindor house seekers glinted in the sun. Lifting it, he almost laughed aloud at one of the engravings, “Harry Potter.” There was a time when that boy had given him much trouble.
“My lord…” A silky voice interrupted his reverie, “It’s time to go.” Severus Snape, the one who had led the Potter boy right to him. Snape had grown more valuable in his eyes, but in the end, they were all tools, and they would all age and die.
Yes, things certainly had changed.
