Harry looked out the window at the snow falling, wrapping all in a blanket of purity.
It was cold and he felt cold. He needed to let himself go, to be rid of that splinter of ice lodged in his heart.
He wanted to go lie under the ice where he belonged, where he could unite his heart with the ice.
The lake was already frozen, he longed to join it.
He stared as more snow added to the layers. The emptiness echoed in the deserted halls.
This was the best it could be.
