"Oh, no...please...no..." Arthur Weasley panted as he staggered through the darkness.
The black and green sigil -- serpent and skull -- hovered high above the valley. Above the Burrow.
Tears stung his eyes and froze on his face. Numb ears barely heard the screams of horror.
"MOLLY! CHILDREN!"
Molly looked away from the clock. Arthur's hand had just swung to "home" before joining the rest of the family's at "mortal peril."
"It was Pemberton's place up the road," Molly quavered, before Arthur crushed his lips to hers.
Arthur held his wife close, silently thankful. The guilt he'd gladly live with.
