Easing her mask up, Pansy stared, ignoring the frantic masquerade flowing all around them, “How did you know? Draco didn’t. I even told him what I would be wearing.”
“A silly mask,” he said huskily, clasping one hand around her waist, “however well done, does not mean I don’t know who you are.”
Looking at him, her breath caught in her throat, “Really?”
Theodore nodded, never taking his eyes or his hands off her, “I know your scent, your skin, your hair.” Gently, he brushed his lips across hers, whispering, “If I were a blind man, I would know you.”
Title: Jealousy
House: Gryffindor
Rating: PG-13 (language)
Characters: Draco and Millicent
Challenge: Party
Word Count: 100
Notes: Goes with Enlighten but stands alone. I like this challenge - this is generally how I remember parties - in little vinaigrettes - so don’t be surprised if you see more in this vein.
“Son of a bitch.”
Millicent looked across the masquerade over to where Pansy was kissing - that had to be Theodore -- and giggled nastily, “Oh, you mean you didn’t know? I thought everyone did.”
Draco glared at her, “Tell me.”
Drunk, Millicent ignored the warning in his tone, “He’s been after her for a while. Actually,” she tapped the rim of her glass, “since you two started dating.”
Oblivious to their audience, Theodore kissed Pansy again. Draco hissed, “I am going to kill him.”
As Draco stalked off, Millicent sighed, “That’s what he wants you to do, you stupid git.”
