Sometimes he is Earth; patient, watching and quietly growing.
Then again he is capricious Fire; his uncertain temper turning to instantaneous white hot flashover and yet he can warm others with his bright spark, feed them with his fire.
Or again, Water; drawing all along on the tides of his enthusiasm.
At times, he is Air; confiding breathless quicksilver thoughts, inspiring others to greatness.
Only when his Horned Head looks back at him does James understand; the choice of Element is not his to make. As with the wand, the element chooses.
