Title: Earth
House: Slytherin
Word Count: 100
Characters/Pairings: Hermione
Author's Notes: I have never written anything Hermione before, I thought it was about time I got started.
__________
Hermione takes pride in being ordinary; in her bushy hair and brown eyes. Even though people don’t acknowledge it, her ability to blend into the crowd is just another kind of strength.
Like the earth holds many secrets, so does Hermione. She can keep quiet and show people only what they need to see. The flower - not the roots.
Her reliability, her steadiness, is necessary to keep things well balanced. Being down-to-earth and the one people can count on is important in these times of war.
Hermione keeps in mind what others forget. Earth has a burning core of fire.

Title: Water
House: Slytherin
Word Count: 100
Characters/Pairings: Luna
Author's Notes: Luna pondering about ebb and flow.
__________
Luna believes the only reason the oceans rise and fall is that the waves are guarded by the magic of the water fairies. It is an ancient, sacred ritual to them, Luna’s mother once told her when Luna was a little girl, it’s in veneration of the moon when it’s full and glowing on the starry night sky.
Luna imagines that the fairies dance to bewitch the waters to obey their commands. She hopes that someday the water fairies will allow her to see their dances, if only because she bears the name of the shining orb which they worship.
