Author's Notes: I had the idea for this while I was messing around with a manipulated picture of Hermione for an icon. I'll let you figure out who "he" is ;)
"Guess who!"
A sharp intake of breath made Harry jump. He took his hands away from her eyes and turned her around.
"You scared me," she mumbled weakly, looking to the ground.
He put his fingers to her chin and lifted her head to meet his eyes with hers. He saw deep purple bruises around her swollen eyes where he had just touched her.
"Hermione, what happened?"
"It's nothing," she muttered shakily, trying to turn away from him. He wouldn't let her.
"You can't keep letting him hurt you."
"He doesn't hurt me," she said quickly, but softly added "...badly."
