Author’s Notes: I don’t know what it is with me. I mean, I try to write something humorous, and out comes this: pure angst. ((So question - would Hermione really want to be immortal? Probably not. Read it anyway.))
The deep red, blood colored waves splashing on the shore made Hermione’s hands tremble. The rain was beating down, hard on her skin. Her salty tears mixed with the water droplets flowing upon her face, some sneaking in to touch her tongue through her slightly parted lips.
Her eyes were hollow, a look of helplessness smashed upon her face.
Yes. The war was over. No more fighting, no more battles.
But as she lay splayed out on the sand, looking up towards the sky, she realized that death was merely inevitable. After all, immortality is but a wonderful, lurid dream.
PS: The natural disaster is implied to be the war.
