He only came in here, she knew, to cry.
Because nobody else ever came in here.
She longed acutely for real arms, so she could hold him. Stroke his pretty
hair. But she had none. She had to settle for making soothing noises. He
had to settle for sobbing to the walls. She could feel the echoes of his
anguished words off the tile, rippling through her like something real.
He mumbled between his hands. .
She knew he only came in here because this was her place. Crying was
expected..
But pretending he came to see her was so much nicer.
