"Here’s the potion, Lupin. Is there something else you wanted?" He knows that there is. I can see it in his smirk.
"I wanted to give you your Valentine’s Day present."
"So where is it?"
"Here."
Later, when we’re lying on the bed sated, he turns to look at me. "Why is that my Valentine’s Day present? You give me that all the time."
I smile. "I wanted to be sure you’d give me something, too."
He rolls over and reaches for his cloak. When he turns back, he’s holding a bar of chocolate.
"Perhaps I should keep this, then."
