Harry slouched in his chair, eyes fixed on the clock as his wand swung loosely from his fingertips. A door slammed behind him - rusted locks groaning as they were forcefully closed.
“You’re late,” he said, still staring at the clock.
Snape took off his cloak and dropped it on the desk, narrowly missing a jar of skinned frog’s eyes balanced precariously on the edge.
“I am.”
“Well?” Harry asked, finally deigning to look up.
Cool fingers stroked Harry’s cheek. “You know I must keep up appearances.”
Harry leaned into the caress.
“Too bad. Hermione will never know what hit her.”
