Title: Very Far from Prince Charming
House: Hufflepuff
Word count: 100
Characters: Malfoy, Patil
Challenge: Refusals
Author's Note: When I was driving home, in heavy traffic, not only was I broadsided by a pack of Rabid Plot Bunnies, I was forced to suck in a lot of Carbon Monoxide. That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it.
“Miss Patil,” Draco said grandly. “You understand the importance of blood purity. Your family goes back twenty generations.”
“I know my family history.”
“You are the most beautiful girl to ever grace these halls. Your elegance would enhance any bloodline that you joined.”
“You flatter me.”
“It’s only the truth, beloved,” Draco said grandly. “A vast intellect like yours would never be taken in by falsehoods. You can see that an alliance between a Slytherin and a Ravenclaw can only benefit both houses.”
“Ravenclaw? I’m in GRYFFINDOR!”
Draco gaped. “You’re not Padma?”
“I’m Parvati!” she shrieked before she hexed him.
