A/N: I'm not convinced on this and whether I like it. But I thought I'd post it anyway.
He had been branded a menace to society and sentenced to death. It didn’t matter that the tall, blonde boy hadn’t played by the rules.
He would have pleaded instinct if he could. But the justice system hadn’t been built for creatures like him. Besides, they had it in for him anyway.
Whatever happened to “innocent until proven guilty”?
So here he sat, death row among the pumpkins.
He perked up a little when he saw the dark-headed boy coming towards him. He showed proper respect. Bowing awkwardly even now, in a half crouch.
