They were completely soaked. It was a cold November rain falling. Should be snow, but the autumn had been unseasonably warm this year. It just wasn't cool enough.
"You all right? Blast and damn, you're shivering, Lily. I had no idea t'would rain today."
"It's perfect." She whispered. She'd been trying to think of how to tell him.
"Huh?"
"James, we're gonna have a baby."
He stumbled, sitting down on their porch steps, half in the rain.
"James?"
"Are you sure?"
"You aren't happy?"
"No, no. Happy will come. Shock is happening now."
She giggled and sat next to him.

*~*~*
It was the hottest summer in record history.
The sun was blazing from all directions. Molly suggested they go to the nearby pond and have a dip. Harry, Ron, Fred, and George had all jumped at that. Ginny and Hermione said they'd catch up.
George nearly fainted when Hermione walked up wearing a muggle bikini.
"Hermione?" Ron squeaked.
Harry's eyes bugged. They went wider when they noticed Ginny.
"Hermione loaned me her extra bikini." Ginny spun around. "What'd'ya think?"
"Where's the rest of it?!" Fred barked.
"I think you look hot." Harry whispered.
The three Weasley boys glared at him.

challenge: #71 weather

*~*~*
She'd seen him standing in the snow and brought him home with her. She fed him and had him sit close to the fire. She somehow knew he had no place to go, and the snow was showing no signs of letting up.
"My sofa is a sleeper. It folds out."
Remus looked around her flat. "Where would YOU sleep, Nymphadora?"
"It's Tonks, Remus. How many times do I have to tell you?"
"Don't change the subject... Tonks."
"Well, er, I'd sleep there too."
He raised an eyebrow.
"What? I trust you to be a gentleman."
The eyebrow went higher.
