settled

I wrote to my ex. I wrote what was an honest and caring message and said many of the things I've been wanting to say as well as some new stuff regarding his current place in life. My hope is that he will write back to me (which I said in the note) but I've come to a very nice settled place where if he doesn't write back I am completely ok.

Congratulations. I'm sure that was no easy thing to write. I'm willing to bet he'll write, but would not be all that shocked if he doesn't. I hope you keep that attitude about you - really, it's about settling it for yourself. He can't do that for you.
