quite a ride

I have one thing to say about my FANTASTIC evening last night: QUESS!!! Ya, so I thought I got over him and decided that his music wasn't that great but man, when you see him live.  We talked before the show and I told him about my hunt to find his cd that failed and he sold me a copy he had with him.  THEN!!! when he was singing beautiful, he sang it to ME! this is not me pretending that someone was singing to me (as I often do and laina knows this better than anyone) but he was actually singing to me. I know this because he pointed and smiled and then (since he knew i knew all the words) asked me to come up and finish of the bridge and chorus with him. YES!  I also found out that my friend Uzo who is 29 and a big black man also loves quess' music.  This was both endearing and hilarious because he ended up being just as squeally and melty as me (very uncharacteristic).  After the show Quess was like: "I'm going to the Library to catch of show if you wanted to come along" and my first thought was Hells Ya!  even though the library is a bit of a sleezy joint but what other chance would i have to test the strength of an ass that won't quit?. but i had to finish up some work in the restaurant which took a long time and i didn't end up leaving till 1:30 so my plans to meet up with quess were squelched. Oh well.  two weeks from now i will once again have lost my zeal for him and  his music and will be back to normal.  But people, he sang to ME! this is like number 8 on my list of music events favourite moments.  The first clearly being my meeting with the man Sam Roberts (both the real parts and the made up parts)

Anywho. I am going to see Caribou (formerly manitoba) and the Jr. Boys 2-NIGHT at the pyramid and it is sure to be a blast and a half! Nothing better than good music and good friends. maybe we'll stop by the toad later in the evening. Thus far, my weekend has been pretty sweet. Even work at shoppers was bearable today.
