ok well my last entries have been all sad and depressing and not quite my cup of tea and I blame it on the sickness which is now slowly starting to lift (I no longer sound like a smurf which is nice). There is so much exciting news to share and it's all uber cool.
Number One: This is just a shout out to my birthday buddies.
jasper_ankle, way to turn 20 on the first day of the month!
my_my_ , somebody's gonna be legal tomorrow! and I was promised some sort of bottle of whiskey...is jack daniel's whiskey? cause if he is, I want it! (just to have but not to drink cause I don't want to lose my straight edge (sXe) haha!). i'm tres pumped as I know I have ONE birthday party to attend this weekend (hint hint Lainacris)
Number 2: Damien just added me to his msn! In the last week, we've meshed (funny cause i've known him or of him for quite some time now) but he's decided that the laughter must not end because we are separated by physical distance. No! it must continue on msn says he! it's a good thing it's not the school year and i actually go on msn now occasionally.
Number C: Today I found out that a coworker of mine (who I used to love when I was young. think Sonny inspiration story but add school girl crush). Anyway, I work with him now, I guess I have this thing with working with my childhood heroes/loves. Back to the point, today I found out he was a fan of good music which suprised me. music had never come up in our conversations before. He asked me what I thought he listened to and I told him that I pegged him as more of an Anne Murray kind of guy. He took some offence to this.
#4: I have found a new love! His name, is Dizzee Rascal. He's british so in his songs he pronounces it Razz-cool. In fact, this weekend I had loads of fun with the grime movement and all that awesome brit hip hop kinda stuff. My current live in cousin/aunt/immigrant mentioned that i've been having something of a love affair with the brits this past few months in all genres and you know what? she's quite right! chip chip cheerio!
Number Strokes - I was on Pitchfork and it says that the strokes third LP nears completion. they currently have 13 songs (which isn't to say the album will have 13) and no one knows the titles yet but people it's the effing strokes. finally some more stellar base lines from nicholai and some kickin' rythym guitars of alfred hammond jr. Yes! strokeS!
Five - For some reason I was thinking about the good old days on YTV when it was still so good. Remember PJ Phil everyone? that super cool filipino guy who use to host "the ZOne"? Remember when kids tv shows were awesome? Well, I went looking for a sight hoping that someone had made a site dedicated to the glory days of television for kids and NO ONE had! I've decided to take on the task of making such a site and stuffing it with all the good stuff that existed when we were wee ones. But I can't do it alone people, I need your help! Please help/inform me with this new mission of mine. It may take some time to complete but when it's done, it could be beautiful. And it doesn't have to be nostalgia from tv, it can be toys, and games (remember when you used to pretend the floor was liquid hot lava and had to stay on the couch?) and school and anything. any and all suggestions are welcome. "we are the movie makers and WE are the dreamers of dreams" -Willy Wonka. "The power is YOURS!" -Captain Planet
Alright, i'm quite sure you've all had quite enough of me for now. That's all that i'll say.
-love Tito
