Isn't it quite a coincidence that the same year our boys, the A-Town Raiders make it to the playoffs for the first time in 20 years, it's also the same year the Redskins make it to the playoffs? Of course, it's only been what, 6 years for them ( Read more... )

I think overweight people have more control over it than they like to think. I mean, your right, but that doesnt mean they cant go out and exercise a little every now and then. And eat healthier. That they have complete control over. I mean they can eat all they want, but if theyre jamming down tasty cakes, then they dont have the right to complain. If they were jamming down salad and healthy stuff, then complain away. Its a lifestyle change. No one said it would be easy, but if people can quit smoking cigarettes or weed, then fat people can change the way they eat. Not that I dont have sympathy for them. I feel bad for them too, I just dont think they should complain as much.. But also, theres inheretence. Which isnt their fault.. but they shouldnt take advantage of it and eat everything, or use it as an excuse.

The point is that they aren't quitting food like people addicted to weed and cigarettes. If you had to smoke weed, once a day, just to live, do you think you wouldn't stay addicted? And the problem would get worse, because you want more.

What's sad is that these people will go places that tell them how to eat right. But they'll eat oranges all day long and still gain weight. I mean, I think as badly about them as I would an alcoholic, they were dumb enough to get addicted in the first place. But then again my whole family could be an AA meeting or fill up a drug rehab center. It's just harder for the super obese to beat their addiction.

A documentary about a Dwarf Family comes on tonight at 8pm.

& I agree ~ I'm sick of documentaries on the morbidly obese, they're really depressing. Especially the half-ton man. He was STILL eating crap at the end of the program. He sort of deserved his lot.

The 626lb woman on the other hand was really sweet, I felt much worse for her than for him.
