Scientists and Electric Companies Against Asbestos

Sep 02, 2004 20:15

So, how's it going everyone? You know what I'm here to tell you about today? About that good old asbestos. Now I know you've been told it's a "carcinogen" and that it'll "kill you" and other nonsense like that, but do you know what the "scientists" and "doctors" haven't told you? That putting asbestos in you walls can save you mucho moola in the long run!!!

Yes. What these scientist fail to tell you is that asbestos is a poor conductor of heat. I'm sure you're thinking, why is it good that asbestos is poor at something? Isn't being bad at things a, well, bad thing? The answer to that is no. When it comes to insulation, being a poor conductor of heat is a very good thing. You see, this is how conduction works: On a microscopic level particles spin and rotate and move around and smack into each other, even in something that appears solid. The hotter it is, the more they slam against one another. Conduction is, in ordinary terms, the ability to pass on this heat and asbestos very poorly passes it on. Which is why, kids, the electric company doesn't want you putting it in your house!! They want the heat to escape your house in the winter and for heat to seep in the Summer. I personally have proof that the "scientists" are in league with the electric company to raise your electric bills and make money.

Think that over while running your electricity.
