(no subject)
wow, i love having the house to myself!! it's like..the best thing everrr! i love having a peaceful house. and i love cleaning up and feeling accomplished. i wouldn't wanna live like this for a long time, though. i guess it would be pretty lonesome. cept i'm out of the house, or have someone here most of the time. woo hoo! haah
so today i skipped church again, b/c...well, i have my reasons.... then i went to brunch with jenny at cedarwood, since we didn't eat with the boys, as hoped. anywyas, it was very good. and then we went to ann taylor loft and hung out for a while. then i had to come home and teach some piano lessons. i was in a good mood for teaching today. we started a fun game today. i think it'll be fun anyway, it was kind of a spur of the moment thought.. so i had them draw pictures of things that start with the note name that's on a flash card. so like, if the card had a c on it, they drew a crayon. and so thats what we did this time. and next time when they get here, all of the pictures and flashcards with notes on them will be hidden, and they have to find all of the pix and cards and match them up and see how fast they can do it. haha. but they dont know what they're gunan do with the pix next time, b/c it's a "suprise" so they're all soo excited! hahah! aww. i love kids. i want some! even the ADD ones today i was like aww. they make me laugh even more than the regular ones. lolol.
so now i'm chillin, and trying to motivate myself to write that usc essay. **given the leveling effect that tv, movies, and pop culture have on society today, what values are to be gained by continuing to differentiate between low art and high art** any ideas????
