Did you interview for and/or get the directing gig at SCP for Urinetown?
I haven't heard anything. They have my resume and they know that I am interested. I have only worked on one show with SCP and so I am probably not going to be their first choice. However, there are some members of the board that want me to direct for them. They would really like for me to direct ONCE UPON A MATTRESS but I am not really interested in tha show. Plus, it is in the late summer/early fall and I will be busy with THE PRODUCERS during that time.
URINETOWN is a show that I love and would love to direct. I went to NYC for the first time in 2002 and it was one of the first shows I ever saw on Broadway. I ended up seeing it only because there was no matinee for CABARET that Wednesday. I fell in love with the music and the story and was waiting for it to become available. Since it has become available, it has been done to death but not in a few years.
