I'm going to Canada!

Not right now, of course, but still pretty soon; my plan to go on holiday in July fell through because two members of our 4-person QA team are off in that month. So, I decided to go in June, instead! Specifically, I leave on the 16th, which is just over a month from now. The down-side of this change of plans is that I won't be in Montreal during ( Read more... )

Toronto's another city that I may end up visiting some time soon; there's quite a big indie games community out there. But yes, from my experience with Canadians, they're pretty much all awesome!

Never thought I would hear you say you were "tired of girls" :). I like new Lothario Synnah.

Canada! How exciting. I'm sure you will have an amazing time.

Na-Hyun (Kim) who I stayed with in Seoul is coming to London next month, she'll stay here with me I think. No idea how I will manage to match the exceptional hospitality her family showed me, but I will try.

Unlike your garden-variety lothario, the reason Synnah is tired of girls is because his tiny brain can't balance what he assumes they want against what he wants (And he's not even sure what he wants), and everything gets all muddled; it's probably one of those situations that would be a lot easier if everyone involved were more straight-talking. Lothario Synnah is, essentially, rubbish at what he does.

Ooh, nice; it'll be good to see her again! If you want to match her family's hospitality, you'll have to buy a lot of melons. How long is she staying for?

God, yeah, I just finished that one this morning; it was by far the hardest of the minigames! What I was initially doing wrong was using Magnet-shrooms and Coffee Beans; sure, it was depriving the bastards of their pogo sticks, but then they would just eat through my plant pots, because I didn't have enough Cabbage-pults to fend them off. When I finally beat it, however, my tactic was to stick 5 Sunflowers down right away and make one of them a Twin Sunflower, by which time the first of the Pogo Zombies arrived. I'd block him off with a Tall-nut and then, in no particular hurry, stick a Cabbage-pult on my back line. I repeated this until all lines were blocked by Tall-nuts, and from then on it was plain sailing!
