Låt Den Rätte Komma In

On Tuesday evening I got something to eat after work, and made my way over to Dave's flat. His girlfriend was there, and we made our way to the cinema, via Subway; as I'd eaten before I came out, I bought a bottle of Dr. Pepper, and we chatted for a while. Eventually we went to the cinema, to see Let The Right One In.

I didn't really have much expectation of it being a horror movie, unlike Dave, who has spent the last two days reminding me how disappointed he was that so few people died in it. I, on the other hand, really enjoyed it for what it was; a touching and dark story of young love. The acting was pretty much fantastic throughout, and it made me really want to visit Sweden again (Mostly because there is snow in pretty much every scene). Overall: Excellent out of Ten.

I bought The Dillinger Escape Plan's 2004 album, 'Miss Machine', on Easter Monday, simply because I find the concept of Mathcore intriguing. At first I liked the concept more than the execution, but it's really kind of grown on me. It helps that among the songs with the screaming and discordance and constantly-shifting time signatures there are at least three accessible tracks, but the others are starting to make more sense to me the more I listen to them. At any rate, it's an interesting album, and that's generally enough for me.
