Eastron

Okay then. Here is my Easter Weekend recap!

- I took my time on Friday morning, and ended up in B eating a chicken and chorizo salad at around 2pm. Good out of ten. Oh, I was served by this girl that I think is really pretty, and after she poured my Pepsi, I held her gaze for a couple of seconds. Then she carefully told me how much I owed, and followed it with, "Sorry, that took a long time to say!". I couldn't think of anything witty or charming to say in response. Balls. I still think she hates me, anyway.

- Shortly after that, I walked to the station to meet my parents, and we got a taxi to the guest house that I'd booked them into, which was conveniently right around the corner from my flat. We walked into town and went back to B (My parents like the place as much as I do, after I took them there the first time they came to visit me in Cambridge)! We had some light food, followed by something to drink, and then made our way to Edwinn's, one of them posh restaurants you hear so much about!

- On Saturday morning, we got a bus into town. Had a look around some shops, ate at B, and I bought Satoshi Kon's Tokyo Godfathers. It snowed on and off , and when were in B, I heard the girl who'd served me the day before talking to some other customers, saying she'd never seen snow before, and she hoped it would settle. I can't quite place her accent, because it's not very strong, and her English is impeccable. I'm guessing she's from somewhere in Europe, maybe? Anyway, that evening we ate at the nice Bella Italia that I went to with my Mum and sister at Christmas, and I had a nice pizza.

- On Sunday morning I drew back the curtains to find it snowing, with a thick layer of snow on the ground. I bummed around for a while, and some time after it stopped snowing, I walked into town with my camera. I took a circuitous route across a bridge over the Cam, and then followed the river all the way into the centre of town. I took the following photos:

Cambridge.

A Pigeon on a streetlamp!

A duck!

A white swan.

A black swan!

Another duck, and its 9 children.

- I met Mum and Dad in town, and we went for lunch. Not at B this time, at another place! We went to Revolution, a bar I've passed by several times, but never bothered going into. It was nice! That night we went to a Thai Restaurant near one of the main parks. I had a really nice Massaman curry. And that is the end of my tedious restaurant round-up!

Tokyo Godfathers was amazing. Funny and affecting, with some excellent characters and a plot that just keeps moving. I was literally on the edge of my seat at times! I think I liked it more than Paprika.

Anyway, I'm going to bed now.
