Festival Winds

Well, finally I got everything edited and sent to _bethel_ for Eye Of The Hurricane, and am going over there this evening to see what else needs to be done about it. Will have it printed and mailed within the next couple of days - actually, possibly tomorrow if all goes well. People who don't have subscriptions and would like one, let me know.

We might possibly go to Sir Edward's Memorial Tourney, depending on time and funds, but haven't decided yet. Sure would be nice, though (*huggles Orodriel, Morchalad and Celebrochon*)

Dance Practice will be starting on Saturday, April 24, at Tri-Area Community Center in Port Hadlock, and if any of you Seattle folk are coming over for it, let me know; got crash space at our house if you want it. We're thinking to do this at least once a month, possibly more if enough people are into it.

Maypole is April 30-May 2, and this year we're having Bardic Circle in the building with the fireplace. We need more Bards for the competition (*pokes Whitney and Aaron*), and especially need more musicians for the Maypole Dance.

If all goes well, we might make the long trip down to Glastonbury Faire, May 8 and 9 - Zinger said that's one of the best of the festivals, and Heather's going to be there, so we are seriously considering it.

June Fair, June 4-6, is probably the next thing we're going to after that, and we Have Not Yet Begun To Plan for it, but probably will go ahead and camp with Ship of the Night if that's what everyone wants to do.

The Port Angeles Renaissance Faire doesn't have a site up yet, but it's going to be June 11, 12 and 13 - probably fairly small, because this is its first year, but should be fun. Elves, faeries and so on have been specifically invited!

On June 19 at Lost Mountain Ranch in Sequim there is to be a medieval wedding, and the happy couple is seeking performers for the reception. Let me know if you're interested, or know someone who is.

Don't know yet about the summer SCA events. Maybe Lord Defender's - maybe July Coronation - maybe not. July always seems to get filled up with local stuff, so I don't know if we're going to have time for going anywhere.

We'll be at the Ren Faire all three weekends (Aug. 7-8, 14-15, 21-22) and will be leaving our encampment up the whole time, so people who want to camp with us, please let us know - we'll probably go for the back ridge again, overlooking Seattle Knights.

Hot Summer Lights is September 10-12, and that's the event that I really hope everybody will make it to, so... please plan to be there if you possibly can!

Autumn War, Sept. 16-20, again, maybe - maybe not. I don't see Last Chance Tourney scheduled on the list yet, but whenever it happens (early October, probably), we're going to it.

RingCon will be October 29, 30 and 31, and you KNOW we're going to THAT. (BTW, any suggestions on how to improve the Sindarin classes? I'm thinking to get Ron to let me do a Beginner's and an Advanced, if there are enough people *hint hint* who want the Advanced. Let me know.)

*whew* Now I am tired already, just thinking about it all... going to be an awesome season, though!
