Writing exercise: Household Archeology

Apr 08, 2008 10:57

When housefic_pens merged with housefic_meta, we promised to continue The Clinic's writing exercises. Spring's a good time to get back into things, so here's one we're calling "Household Archeology."

The idea is simple one: The list of items below have been found under the cushions of House's couch. Take any number of items you wish and write a piece that explains their significance. This may include who they used to belong to, how they got there, and whatever else you want to throw in. The prompt list is, we think, open-ended enough to give inspiration to all genres and 'ships, so have at it.

Story length can be classic drabbles (100 words) up to whatever gets the job done. If you'd like to join in discussion about the writing, please post a link to your finished story in the comments below.

As always, there is no deadline on writing exercises. Have fun!
