Holden's room
One of the House of Arch owls flaps in through the painting into Holden's room. It is carrying a large bag, onto which is attached a note.
Dear Holden,
We keep missing each other both in the house and at the bar, so I wanted to send you this before any more time passed. I found the records at a market in Paris - I hope you like at least one of them. The rest of the things Door, Ingress, and I picked out for you on our holiday. So sorry I missed wishing you a happy birthday.
Hopefully we'll run across each other soon and have a face to face chat.

Inside the bag is a stack of records. A few Holden will look at and discard with a snort, a couple will be by artists he's never heard of, but the rest will be records he had at home and has missed. Also in the bag are delicious treats from Italy and France, a sparkly snow globe with a beach scene inside, a book on magical Europe, and an intricately carved wooden bear figurine from Moscow.
