Ignoring bombshells/the rest of the fiasco that is season 7. How did you see House and Cuddy ending up?

Like say season 7 went according to what we thought it would last summer.

Poll your own endgame

I had a dream once. this was a few months before bombshells i think, that House and Cuddy got married. but it wasn't a very conventional wedding. House put the ring on a ( Read more... )

I think they would be together, and live together with Rachel, but I don't think House would legally adopt her because the relationship would still be a little bit rocky.

I always thought House should keep his own place for short break-ups/ bad patches.

I do think House would have married her if there was ever a logical reason, and ditto for adopting Rachel, but I don't think either was strictly necessary for them.

That all said, in canon, when house married Dominika, that made me think that he had been considering marrying Cuddy. Then again, s7 canon can bite me.

if House didn't legally adopt her, do you see Cuddy doing to him what she did with Julia? that one paper that made her guardian i think in case something happened to her?

I'm in denial Cuddy ever had that ridiculous coversation with Julia (whom i blame for everything that went wrong in the finale ( ... )

i can't STAND Julia -.-

you're probably right on the friend more than father figure type, I can definitely see that happening.

I don't think I realized that til just now. I knew from when I watched it the first time around that I thought Cuddy was rather obsessed with the idea of an idealized marriage. picket fence and everything. which was weird. but there ARE more than those two routes.

they may have come to the conclusion that they're more married than not - and for convenience' sake (whether having to do with raising Rachel, or some other reason)
I could see House arguing in support of marriage for a tax break lol.

And let's not forget he said he wanted to move in on BSN. *wails forever*

*wails with you*

Oh man. Just one more dagger to the heart, you know?

That's my House. The one who - it's not that he can't love, can't commit, can't -finger-quotes here- "share someone's pain". It's that he's afraid to. And why would you be afraid of something like that? If you've been burned on it before. Badly.

I can never get out of my mind something that stenveny said a few weeks back - that House was tossing around the word 'boyfriend' a lot because he liked it. Because he was enjoying the sense of normality, of belonging that it gave him.

That's what House misses/wants most, I think. And it would go right back to his childhood - can you imagine how it felt to discover that the man you thought was your father, wasn't? I would think that would engender a terrible sense of 'not-belonging'. Which could easily make an already-difficult child even more difficult, pressing limits, deciding that if he was going to 'not-belong', to be on the fringes, ( ... )

that is an interesting question though. We know that House knows a heck of a lot abut her, but idk how much SHE knows about HIM.............
