Yesterday, I purchased my copy of the first issue of the Grimm comic book! I also received the free copy of issue #0 - our "free comic book day" in this region was delayed a week because of the Derby.
Lucky You! Over here I didn't get anything as we don't have a comic-shop anymore :(. And issue 0 would be a dream to read *sigh*. So happy for you :). So it worth a look (besides that brown-eyes-problem)? I'm not that big fan of comics I have to say, but the Grimm-ones I'm interested in. And the storyline is about the keys (anoother reason to try to get those)? That's great! Thank you for sharing your thoughts, I really appreciate it :)
I could scan issue #0 for you if you like? It could be something for you to read while your back is healing. ^_^
Also, let me clarify, they keys haven't been mentioned in the comics. When I said "key" story lines that was a turn of phrase that means "main" or "important" story lines.
Issue 0 is about a wesen couple marrying outside their kind (fuchsbau and lowen) and the "purists" who want to kill them for it.
The part with Nick's mom in issue 1 is all about her trying to destroy the coins. She gets into some serious trouble along the way, and Nick, Monroe, and Hank make a special trip to Vienna to rescue her.
Upps! Sorry for the misunderstanding. I got there something wrong. The good is, from issue 1 on they are also offer the comics as pdf, what I can download and put on my ebook-reader - besides, that's exactly what I have in mind ;). Issue 0 seems only available as real magazine so ... I would be very, very grateful if you could scan it :D. I've seen some sneak peeks for it and I liked what I saw there :D. So, thank you so much! I would be thrilled if you could scan it :D
Okay, I'll start on that today if I have the time. It may take a few days given my limited free time, but I'll have it for you before the week is over!
Would you like the pictures emailed to you? Or, I guess it wouldn't hurt anything to post them to LiveJournal. It is supposed to be the "free" issue so I don't think I'd get into any trouble. Which would you prefer?
