The real swing vote
Is it safe to say that college is the new high school? That unless you go to college, you'd be hard pressed to find a job, as most of the jobs that used to be filled by high school graduates back in the day no longer exist given that the US doesn't really do manufacturing anymore? So, if that's the case, I wonder if we should make college mandatory, and then extend voting privileges to that beyond 18. (Granted, I'm just ranting as I also support a national draft in wartime- with no exemptions for weekend National Guard duty a la Bush).
Because then, at least, we wouldn't have a bunch of white non-educated idiots voting for Clinton (she hands down wins the white I haven't gone past high school voting bloc, per AP polling; the same bloc that hates Obama). Racists aside, I think the Democratic party race really goes to prove two things:
1) Hillary Clinton is will do anything or say anything to get what she wants (hmm, something reminiscent about the current president and Iraqi nuclear weapons, but I forget what it is), including selling her own mother to a slavetrader. Remember that. Sell her own mother.
2) Uneducated white idiots seem to be the swing vote every election. And if they don't turn out in droves, uneducated rich white idiots will call upon their brother governors to rig some more votes.
And so people can totally call me an educated elitist, but at least I can decipher for myself what's truly real (Obama's view on a complex issue) vs what's been oversimplified and dumb down for the idiots (Obama's pastor's views on the country that's screwed him over). Because really, who cares what someone's someone says about something? Really. And just because your pastor tells you to go jump off a bridge doesn't mean you should it; if you believe it, you should probably find a time machine to take you back to Salem in the way back when.
