Also recently (thank you:-*) I don't believe that friendship is defined by a willingness to lie in order to give another an unearned sense of pride or self worth. Friendship is the recognition of the others value and hard earned respect. Any other form of it is completely worthless. It is not enough to derive your own self respect solely from other people. If you want something to be true, you must earn it.
