A Vintage Easter Photo Gallery Sincerely hope you enjoyed the day with your family (as I'm guessing most people did)
As for me, I've been struggling to finish my 10-page Dean's Assistantship proposal and to get through the Orgo Chem section of my Princeton Review MCAT book in time for the exam. IT'S 6 DAYS AWAY!
Figured I deserved a treat and bought a ticket this morning to see David Copperfield's An Intimate Evening of Grand Illusion at 3 PM. Grabbed a single seat three rows away from the stage! Just like the Dane Cook show last year, this was one of the best seats in the house
And it was...
*to the tune of the Can Can*
Spectacular, spectacular!
No words in the vernacular
Can describe this great event
You'll be dumb with wonderment!
*ahem*...oh...kay...that's done... :o\
Breathtaking performance, even though he seemed kinda grouchy at first. Probably has something to do with a canceled show yesterday because the equipment trucks were late, and my ticket said RESCHEDULED at the top, so I guess he wasn't supposed to perform? His personality did come out more and more, though. Yeah, that's right, buddy, I paid good money for you to smile!
He's not one of the highest paid celebrities in the world for nothing...ticket price was pretty steep and I saw a $40 hoodie at the souvenir table that said "VANISH THIS!"...doesn't that just beg to be stolen?
Time for slogan-making!
DAVID COPPERFIELD
"HEY, WHERE'D MY MONEY GO?"
Let's see, he impregnated a girl on stage...no, not the old-fashioned way, the magic way!
Predicted random lotto numbers and made his Grandpa's dream car suddenly appear
But my favorite part of the show was when he transported (Disapparated?) himself and a guy to Hawaii, where he displayed initials on his arm written by an audience member (who got hit in the head by a plastic ball tossed to select a person at random) and a Polaroid picture taken of other people on stage
Even Gob would've been in awe of the tricks
"Illusions, Michael! Tricks are something a whore does for money...*realizes children are watching*...or cocaine!"
They played such good music before the show, felt like dancing...reminds me to make it a point that I go clubbing this summer
Okay, better keep trying to read Genetics, but it seems once I put on these headphones, the people in this computer lab started talking twice as loud to their friends
