arrrr... it's driving me nuts
last night, i had plans to go to big city for steve's last night bartending there. what made it exciting was that joey called me friday to make sure i was going to be there. WELL, i had to work all day yesterday, and kari picked me up after work since i didn't have another way home and we ran to the mall with her mom... then i had to shower and get ready at home... and then it was around 9:00 and i find out the guys don't want to come out here and get me. i understand it's out of their way to get on the train and come all the way into oak park just to get on the train again to go back to their place in the city... and i guess i shouldn't "expect" them to come and get me... but considering i've been told several times that they WILL come and get me and i should NOT take the train alone at night... i was ticked. no matter what, i was not about to get on the train by myself at that time... so long story short - i couldn't get downtown. so i pouted and sat in my pajamas watching tv until about 11:30 when sita called and said she just got off work all the way in the city but she had to come home to change anyways and wanted to go out so why don't we go back to the city and go to the bar and see everyone. YAY for sita!!!!!! so i got myself ready and we drove down to big city where joey was VERY happy to see me (another YAY). sita left and went back over to work for awhile and i stayed and talked to steve and joey and this guy dave who started our conversation by saying "so i have this ex-girlfriend, and she's evil and ruining my life". YIKES. he was a nice guy, but i kinda felt bad for him. oh well. sita came back, i danced with brian, and some crazy drunk told us the WORST pirate joke EVER. he said he's a stand up comedian... i felt bad for him too... he's not funny at all. after that, my jaeger bomb must've wore off cause i was suddenly very very sleepy... so sita and i took off. all together, it was a great, loud but relaxing night. :)
friday night i met up with kari after work and did some shopping then went with vince and nick to see the polar express in 3-D at the IMAX theatre at navy pier. it was AMAZING... i recommend it to anyone. and i definitly think it's worth it to go see it at IMAX.
my boss gets back to work tomorrow... i'm nervous. i really really really hope i get to keep this job. wish me luck!!!
hehehe i'm "the stupid kelly". that's great. i must not be THAT stupid though if i'm the one that went out and DIDN'T get ditched. whatever. i need sleep.
