Hm. I forgot to mention last time that I almost got eaten by a couple raccoons on the way to work that night. It was cute.
I seem to be having weird nightmares lately. They're using entirely different tactics now, where I'm not even involved in the dream. Basically, I'm in the head of somebody who's being forced to help somebody they're incredibly scared of. So I'm in the head of these other people, hearing how ungodly scared they are, and it freaks me out. Entirely. I haven't woken up like that in a good while.
It doesn't even matter that the dreams themselves are really horrible b-movie type stories, with horrible special effects and everything (even the fake guts). It's so weird.
I constantly feel like I'm missing something of the human experience. I think I know what it is that I seem to lack, but I have no idea how I'd get it without forcing it upon myself, which wouldn't really work. It's just this very weird feeling of being disconnected from the species in general.
There was a rant here about how that's probably not a bad thing to be disconnected from. It's been a bad week for walking to work without headphones on.
Oh, and thanks to the Caitlin for the breakfast place suggestion. 'Tis very good indeed. Maybe a touch expensive, but good, so I don't mind. The chocolate chip pancakes are heavenly.
