Actually, my grandmother still has 1 rotary phone in her house. Says it's funny as hell when repair folks and such are in and ask to use the phone and she points them to that one - they have no idea what to do. She then sends them to the phone in the kitchen...

LOL I see you have put much thought into this Communist plot. Of course you obviously had the time to think about it all while on hold. LOL I always love how the last possible option is "speak with a customer service rep". Now 3/4 of the people calling WANT to talk to a real person. Make that the first damn option. It would save freaking time.

The whole "... our options have changed" business is so much BS, because we callers are TIRED of having to WAIT through 3-minute recordings to figure out which button to push. Many people just push Zero and try to get to a human for faster service. Most companies' auto attendant programs don't have an option to push Zero anymore, because We The People overused it and the companies got tired of having their expensive AA system circumvented.

Ever tried to call the Social Security Administration? There are about eight layers of options to go through, no matter what you need. You need a headset just to reduce the strain of 15 minutes of wading through options, only to be put on hold for "the next available representative." GAH!
