Wow, today I caught up with a lot of people I hadn't seen or heard from in a looong time!
So first off, I was at Ave Maria earlier this morning looking for something for my parent's 27th wedding anniversary this Friday (i found nothing...but looked around for like half an hour! i could get lost in that store with all the great books and pretty rosaries and saint medals...ahhhh!) but anywho... so Mrs. Dillahunt walks in the door! (Margaret V's grandmother). My good golly, I hadn't seen her in AGES! I just kind of stared at her for a minute and she looked at me and she was like "Oh my goodness, Martha Connolly! You are not the little girl you were when I first met you!" Ahh i twas soooo good to see her. She is probably the holiest most wonderful, most gentle woman that i know or have ever met! She's such a sweetheart! It was realyl good to talk to her. AND! When she asked about my plans for after High School, I told her that I was really looking into St. A's right now for a major in French and a minor in Theology and she said, "You know, their theology program is really solid." She gave me a thumbs up and said, "They've got the benedictines right on campus, so there's really not much fooling around with them!" then she goes, "If you need answers to questions about the credibility of places, just ask me...i know these things!" i totally remember going to confession with the Veroneau's when i was younger and going to their Granny's house to learn about the Catholic faith and stuff. Man, I really miss hanging out with that family... a lot!
Then, i come home from that right? And in my inbox, I have an e-mail sitting there from Matt! Yeah, Matt Johns! Yeah, Patrick Weber's sidekick! Yeah! Awesome, I know? So he was filling me in about his life and what's going on and how things are in Houston and his new job, etc. It was soooo good to hear from him! GOSH i miss that guy crazy a lot! he was (still is!) totally the bomb-diggity! For all you DTS-ers who read this, this is what he said about us: "I really miss going to DTS on thursdays. That is a void that God will
fill in His own way but the memorys are stuck there (joyfully)
forever. I miss you all so much. (By 'you all' i reall meant y'all.)" awww, matttttttt!!
THEN katy mooney stopped by! holy moly, i hadn't seen mooney in like 8 months! she was only here for maybe ten minutes...actually less, i think. i had to go to a neurology appointment. but it was really great to see her and sort of catch up for a bit!
then i went to the neurologist. i'm supposed to take 300-400mg of magnesium a day...that will supposidly (hah - that word makes me think of Ms. McWilliams. She got me so confused with it. She said that her workshop kids always thought it was "supposibly") help reduce the frequency of my headaches, which the lady seemed to think were migraines. Soooooo we'll see how I do with that I guess!!
Then my mom & i stopped at my grandparent's house to visit with them for a bit. That was lovely as usual. I feel soo blessed to have them both still alive and to have such a great relationship with them. They're both so sweet. :-) Then when we got home, my brother was here! I hadn't seen him in a bit! So it was really good to see him. Then I went over to the Manocchia's and hung out with Katy and Laura for a bit! That was marvelous as always. I love that family to pieces! They're all so wonderful and striving toward holiness. So great! So inspirational! I'm crazy excited for Laura & Sean! And I always love talking to Katy. She's so awseome. :)
So all in all it was a sweet day of visiting with people and catching up with them and learning about their lives! I feel really blessed by all the awesome people that God has put into my life. Really, really, truly blessed! Now all that remains is Tricia! Good golly, we haven't seen each other in like a week! That's too long man! Anywho. Thanks for reading! God's blessings!
Peace & love in Christ,
mj
