A story and a question
I legitimately facedesk'd the other day. I was on the phone with a guest answering questions that they were very obviously getting from reading online reviews of our hotel and reading the list of amenities on the choice hotel website. I smiled through the pain until they finally said they were ready to book the room. Awesome. I asked what day they wanted to arrive. It was the third of July. A day which we were not only sold out but we were actually oversold by 3 rooms. I explained this and they politely said "Oh, well thank you for your time" and hung up the phone. My GM, GSM, and the other GSA were standing at the desk and watched as I slammed my head into the granite countertop and just layed there for a bit trying to breathe and not snap the phone in half. A few minutes later it was funny and I had a good sized welt on my forehead. Granite hurts.
