Gay Villages

Those of you who live in the bigger cities, does your area have a Gay Village or Gay District?  If so, could you guys toss a link my way, if it has one.   Some friends of mine here are trying to get GLBT people talking about starting one here.    If your gay village has a website, it might also have some historical information on how it got started ( Read more... )

Hey Kasey! Long time.
I've moved to Chicago, and Boystown (North Halsted / East Lakeview) is a pretty hopping scene. It also has a seedy meth-centric reputation, which has driven a lot of the gay population to the north and northwest (Uptown, where I live, and Andersonville, respectively). Btw -- for reference, all these place names are Chicago neighborhood names, not suburbs.
Hope to hear what you've been up to lately!
