It's not "doobay", boys!

Happy New Year, everyone! I hope you all enjoyed yourselves last night.

As many of you know, Milan are back in Dubai for sunbathing - er, and to play a game or two with Hamburg SV. And as a resident of this highly crowded and noisy city, I'll be glad to report about them as much as I can, just like last year. Most of my material will be taken from the lovely people at acmilanclub.com, with credits and much love.

No, no, these are not mine. I might sell them off at the local black market, though! ...assuming we have one, hm.

The players arrived around 7 pm on Monday. The next day, they showed up at the press conference around 1 pm led by Galliani, Ancelotti, Maldini and Fly Emirates Vice chairman, Flanagan. I'm guessing this was held in the hotel's conference room?

(These pictures were taken by a 7 m d a n i of acmilanclub.com. So, any picture with their tag belongs to them. Much thanks!)

The yellow, it's still there ;_; I don't even know what to say anymore, you guys.

Paolo Maldini, randomly poking around.

30/12/2008. 5:00~6:30. Al-Maktoum Stadium, home of Al Nasr club.

This was the first time for Beckham to train with the other players. He seemed pretty excited during it all, and was all smiles and full of the happy. Pippo wasn't there, as he arrived separately (?) to Dubai, so he didn't attend their first training session. The place was crowded for such a short training.

Ancelotti was reported to be all :( the whole time.

While this man here couldn't be happier.

Janku is SURELY passing around gossip. Look at the face!

Really, boys, it wouldn't hurt to play at my homeclub :( Why always pick my enemy?

That's the number of people that couldn't get in. I don't know why, as the stadium is quite spacious, but I guess they didn't want to have a full stadium.

31/12/2008. 9:00~10:30. Same place.

In the next morning, all of them headed to the stadium, except for Inzaghi, Borriello, Seedorf, Kaladze and Bonera. Most of them had solo training to do. Kaladze and Borriello both spent their time in the gym, while Bonera had his own set of training with one of the team staff. As for the rest, all of them joined the group training.

Apparently they're all feeling quite hot, what's with the sleeveless shirts and all. And that's quite funny, as this current weather makes us feel like we're walking surrounded by icicles.

Go Andrea! :D ...what? Ambro is obviously losing.

I'm telling you, the old man can't even afford a grin.

The photographer called these two "total dorks".

They spent their whole time there splashing water around, making odd faces.

!!! Wait, when did this happen?

lol, Zambro's curved legs.

Oh, Braida.

Rai's reporter. Don't pay much attention to his wild, pink pants. He's rather fond of them.

Oh, fellow countrymen. Can you get any flashier?

Already with the popped collar.

Yeah.

The players haven't done much so far, or went anywhere for that matter. There's quite a buzz surrounding Beckham (see below), but it's not as bad as I thought it'd be. Or so I thought?

Last time Milan were here, they freely roamed the pitch and the fans could get as close as the rear of the pitch. A police man or two would stand by the entrance of the pitch, but that's about it. This time, though, some 40 "special" police men were surrounding the pitch, inside and out. Apparently, it's about Beckham. No, wait - he's "targeted", for some reason, and his security team prefers to have a high level of security than to have some mad terrorist bomb the whole stadia.

A member of the Beckham security team told the Daily Star: "This is a big headache for us and we are taking his visit as if he was a head of state. The security measures will be stepped up and we are concerned about public appearances for example when meeting fans or signing autographs. The fans want to meet Beckham and this is a great risk for us. The risk of an attack is potentially high."

I'll be sitting in my corner here, trying not to die of laughter. Please feel free to join me.

Public training pictures: There are many more out there, mostly of Beckham, but these were the ones I could upload for now.

I would really like to know what's everyone giggling about.

I really, really want to.

Oh, this ;p (see the guy with with the cashmere shawl? YES, WE REALLY ARE FREEZING.)

There have been so many interviews, but I never found the time to sit down and watch them all.

photos, training
