wow doris lessing won the nobel prize. my family is happy. my beloved grandmother adores her (she owns literary every lessing book that has ever been published). so the morning after the winner was relived there was a letter from her in my mailbox containing "the grass is singing" and a note; "read everything!!!"

hello again!

today i visited my grandmother, my fathers mother that is. how do you say in english? paternal grandmother or something. there is a lack in the english language, you don't have one single word that means fathers mother. mean

i love my grandmother, she sent me a late birthday present. poetry and a sweet letter. she loves books more than anything and really understand my interests in literature and writing. she ones pointed at all her books (many many many) and said: "i have my friends right here in my books".
