Stressed out over stuff. Hurt quite a bit today. Kind of unhappy about this. So I watched some toku, of course.
I've been sort of masochistically keeping up (off and on, I'll skip a few weeks and then watch them all at once) with Goseiger. I'm honestly not sure why I keep watching, because I'm really not actually enjoying it all that much. There have been a few nice moments, to be sure, but overall the show is just not impressing me. (Which almost makes the presence of the nice moments more frustrating because I keep hoping more will happen if I just keep watching... :P) And I gotta say that those wand/scepter/whatever-they-are weapons these guys have in Super mode are about the dumbest-looking things EVER. Man, and I thought the Origami from Shinkenger were bad.
Speaking of which, I also watched the Director's Cut of the first two episodes. Each is over five minutes longer, and interestingly, at least in the first episode an awful lot of what apparently got cut down fell into one of two categories: 1) Fight scenes and 2) Scenes which implied at least somewhat that Takeru might actually have something going through his brain other than being a whiny jerk who hates everybody. (Obviously, he gets some of this whacked out of him before too long, and more later, and in retrospect a lot of what he says at the beginning makes WAY more sense when you know what happens in the 40s.) Although fortunately there were also some scenes of Ryuunosuke and/or Chiaki being idiots that got cut down some too, which was in general a good decision. :P
It made me want to write fic again though. Clearly however that is not a smart thing to be doing right at this moment, when I really should be sleeping. Maybe tomorrow. :P
I have the first episode of Kamen Rider OOO/Ozu/whatever (ARGH TOEI WHY) but I haven't watched it yet. I am really pretty reluctant to do so. Given the previews I'm kind of dubious about it, and W is still too fresh in my mind (in the "OMG I MISS THIS SHOW SO MUCH" kind of way) for OOO to not suffer by comparison even if it turns out to be good. (In a differently-masochistic fashion, I keep going back and rewatching scenes from the final three episodes of W. Episode 49 really also needed to be a two-parter, but the relevant scenes are still really good, and I swear that there were real tears from at least two of the principal actors at various points.)
Anyway. I should stop, because I need to sleep, before I go convincing myself to just watch OOO anyway or something and be up until stupid o'clock (as opposed to the merely dumb o'clock it is now, amirite?). Off with the Internet for the night...
