Vacation!
WE ARE GOING TO DISNEYLAND!!!!!!!!!
This decision has been made somewhat impulsively, as a result of extreme stress, but by golly we are going for Bill's 40th birthday in mid-July. This conflicts with the Harry Potter opening day, but I'll sort that out as we finalize our plans.
Stress comes in the form of trying to sue our contractor for the office in town, as she has bounced the check for the utility hook-ups twice and has not done a damn thing to it since March. So we paid for the utilities, got the water running and found out the stupid twits didn't drain the water before moving it up here in November. So we are waiting on the plumber to find out what the total damage is from frozen, split pipes.
We are also building the addition on to our house, and while that is actually going ok, we keep bickering over floor plan details, and it keeps raining on the unfinished project, which is really unusual this time of year.
Between all of this, we are working hard 7 days a week, and last week Bill and I totally blew up at each other. Nastiest fight in 13 years of marriage. The next day, our friends (Diana's babysitter's Jim and Maria) invited us on their midsummer road trip to the Magic Kingdom, and Bill accepted. I felt like I had to accept too, just because Bill and I had just made up and I didn't want to fight again, but by the day after that I found myself really wanting to go. So, Yay, we're going to Disneyland!
