Thankful for my Blessings
Yes I realize I blogged less than 30 minutes ago. But I realized that I was whining and ungrateful so I'm going to list my blessings, it may change nothing but my attitude, but that may be the only thing needing changed.
- I'm thankful I have a God who loves me unconditionally, who sacrificed everything to redeem me.
- I'm thankful that I can love Him back, no matter how imperfect my attempts are.
- I'm thankful for the amazing family He has blessed me with, even when they drive me crazy or break my heart, I know they love me, and I love them.
- I'm thankful for the education I have, and am, recieving.
- I'm thankful for the fact that He has called me to minister to His children, that He trusts me enough to entrust the most precious things in His universe to my care.
- I'm thankful for the friends I have, old ones whom I've long since forgotten, new ones I've just met, and all the ones in between, especially those few who have been my accountability partners, who've I've trusted with pieces of my soul.
-I'm thankful for the gift of music, for singing, for playing the French Horn, for dancing, for the sheer joy of listening, for the passion that it carries.
I realize I have much to be thankful for, and this list is just the short sampling.
"Father God, I am thankful for all the blessings you have given me, not just the nice, soft, fluffy blessings, but for the hard ones, the ones that make me struggle, that force me to run back into your strong arms after I've trusted to my own strength. I thank you that you constantly encourage me to be better, but that you love me as I am. I am thankful that you are God and I am not, that you know what is best for me. Lord, remind me of this, because I so often forget. I ask this in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit."
