We Have Ducks

Yes. We have for a while now, after that whole fucked up fifty buck duck suck, they are fat and sassy, pristine white when they're not filthy (friend and ally is the Mud), and normally, they trundle along going "chug chug chug". They don't quack ordinarily. And NEVER when someone is looking.

I was fixing the dog run - to give you an idea of Zombeh Slayers mass and power, she broke a 1/4 inch cable - and while I do this, the dog's in the garage, lounging on the sofa and gnawing on a bone. This means the birds can come over to her run area and police it for whatever, and also to supervise me while I'm on the ladder. (Thank goodness Ben didn't decide it was the devil.)

So here I am, looking up, arms over my head as I bolt down the cable, and suddenly: QVACKQVACKQVACK ACK ACK!!!!

I look back, and there's Spiffy and Spazzy. They peer at me in the utmost concern as if to say "did you hear that? We heard that. Someone has a duck around here, man!" And that done, they chug chug chug around the corner with the air of having accomplished much.

Also, I need to get a new dog house.

So far, the iTouch has been a success. The "Model Me" app, which is just a slide show of kids acting appropriately in various situations is a huge hit. When we go into a restaurant, I pull it out and start it, and he's fascinated by it - talks about it and everything.

The Tap 2 Talk is a bit more complicated, but he's interested that by touching the pictures, words are spoken. I'm not quite sure he's made the connection yet, but he likes it.

And he thinks it's awesome that another button makes music play!

I need to look into Netflix, too.
