One Down, One-and-Twenty to Go

So, the first day of class is over... I think I'll do all right.

My PoliSci prof is a bit of a cynic but he seems rather thoughtful and very knowledgeable. My US History profix has, unfortunately, a voice that is very easy to tune out... that might be a problem, but it is a rather lively time period so with some effort I should be able to stay on top of things. The class that I am most looking forward to is on the Civil War and Reconstruction, the prof is the first teacher that I've had that actually strikes me as a real historian in the academic since... as opposed to my previous classes who have been teachers of history... givers of information rather than academicians. And I even think I'll manage my upper-division German class; the profix, Sabine Doran, seems nice and easy to work with... they only draw back is that we are expected to screen several films and I'm just not sure when I will have the time, especially if (read: when) I get a job... it will just have to be on Thursday afternoons.

Well, that's it in a nut shell, I'm sure you'll be hearing more... likely in the not too distant future...

Oh, and I took besa_dulce to dinner tonight, it was really great to see her home safely. She seems much better than when she left... Spain, or perhaps it was just getting away, seems to have agreed with her... but she strikes me as a bit lonely.... I suppose that is okay because I've had my lonesome moments up here too and now perhaps we can chill together.

Na... tschüs
